Business Interactive

Business Interactive is an interactive multimedia package designed to support both the Applied GCSE Double Award and the traditional GCSE in Business and other related courses. The package makes extensive and imaginative use of video clips and audio clips, keeping text to a minimum.

Video case studies allow real businesses to be brought into the classroom.

Testing zones monitor student progress and record assessment centrally for teachers to access. The emphasis of this multimedia package is on interactive learning where students learn by 'doing'.

Who can Use the Programme?

Business Interactive covers all aspects of the GCSE specification. It can be used:

- To enhance the work of a specialist teacher
- To play a lead role where specialist teachers are not available
- As a self learning resource for students

The software also provides valuable support to enhance teaching of other business courses.

Use by a specialist teacher

Business Interactive provides a valuable resource to help teachers to deliver business courses. It includes video clips with scripted case studies and 'virtual businesses' through footage of real organisations. Click here to see one of the video case studies included with Business Interactive (Requires QuickTime).

Use by non-specialists

The software is user friendly and does not need to be operated by business specialists. Delivery of the resource can be supervised by classroom assistants. The package allows students to work independently. Business Interactive can help ease teacher shortages and timetabling pressures.

Use for independent learning

The resource has been designed to cover all aspects of the specification. Tasks allow for differentiation, with beginner and expert levels or extended web-based research tasks. Students can use the resource during allocated lesson time, unsupervised or even at home.
